Meet Julia

Julia Romero Gusse is a lifelong public servant guided by a commitment to service and accountability. An Air Force veteran and former Maricopa city councilmember, Julia has spent her career supporting veterans, strengthening local communities, and delivering practical, people-first solutions.

From helping service members access earned benefits to advocating for fiscally responsible local government, Julia brings real-world experience and a results-driven approach to public service. She’s running to ensure families in Legislative District 16 have strong schools, safe communities, and leaders who put people over politics.
